Kristin Antonek, M.A., LMHC:

Ms. Antonek, LMHC is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor of Mental Health Counselors.  She has over a decade of experience working in the mental health field. She has always practiced in the specialized area of addictions treatment.  She is the Clinical Director of The Growth Center and the Executive Administrator of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).  The IOP is based on the Hazelden Matrix Model of treatment which facilitates building a foundation of recovery to include relapse prevention strategies that improve the prognosis for long term sobriety. Ms. Antonek is especially interested in treating family members and loved ones of those individuals suffering from the disease of addiction. Addiction is a family disease. In this regard, Ms. Antonek is dedicated to being a part of the solution and messenger of hope to those helplessly watching their loved one die in stages, one drink or drug episode at a time.

Ms. Antonek also works with individuals coping with divorce, trauma and eating disorders. Recently she was added to the EAP panel of providers for the Pasco County School system. In this regard she enjoys working with teachers and their families coping with various problems and issues including depression, anxiety and family and/or work related stressors. In addition, Ms. Antonek is also an IPN facilitator for the state of Florida. Lastly, she is also a psychomerist, trained to administer various psychological testing measures to adults and children for the purpose of treatment planning and diagnostic clarification.
